Justin Hamilton is an ARC Future Fellow at Monash University’s Australian Centre for Blood Diseases, located at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. His group studies the role of platelets in haemostasis, thrombosis, and inflammatory conditions. Justin's PhD at the University of Melbourne was awarded the Chancellor's Prize in Medicine. He performed post-doctoral studies as a CJ Martin Fellow at the University of California San Francisco, and established his own group in Australia as a Heart Foundation Career Development Fellow. His work has been published in numerous journals, including Nature, Nature Communications, PNAS, Blood, and Circulation Research and has led to the clinical development of several anti-platelet drugs, including the recently TGA-scheduled PAR1 antagonist, vorapaxar.
